Our Story...
We are Joan & Xanthe Dillon, sisters-in-laws and buddies by a twist of fate, or "forced fate," as Xanthe married Joan's brother back in 2004.
After our own experiences dress shopping as brides, we knew we wanted to create a bridal boutique where every bride feels beautiful, listened to, and genuinely cared for.
So, in 2007, we opened the doors to Platinum Brides with one simple goal, to make finding your dream dress an exciting, relaxed, and memorable experience.
Originally based on the Robin Hood Island in Birmingham, we spent 16 wonderful years there before relocating to our beautiful boutique on Warwick Road in Olton, Solihull, where you'll find us today.

Established in 2007, Platinum Brides is proud to be one of Birmingham and Solihull’s longest-established independent, family-run bridal boutiques.
Over the years, we've helped thousands of brides, prom girls, and communion princesses find their perfect gown. We are passionate about offering beautiful, affordable dresses without compromising on quality, style, or service.

The Platinum Brides Experience
Finding your dream dress at Platinum Brides.
To ensure that you get the experience that you deserve, we ask you to book an appointment so that we can devote our time and attention solely to you. You can do this by clicking on the "book your appointment" button, at the top of the page or fill in the online form.
Your appointment is around 1.5 hours long and you will have the boutique all to yourself. We recommend that you bring up to 2 to 3 guests with you. As our shop is cosy and perfect for an intimate shopping experience.
We will text you with a reminder of your appointment the day before, so if your plans have changed, this will give you the chance to let us know, if you haven't already. Obviously, we appreciate as much notice as possible, so we can offer your appointment to somebody else.
It can feel a little overwhelming trying on wedding dresses, but don’t worry; our 19 years of experience is renowned in our area! We’re a warm, fun loving, family business, in a relaxed and cosy environment. We want to put you at ease and style you so that you look and feel incredible on your wedding day.

Gorgeous designer wedding dresses available to order new just for you ranging between £800 - £2000 or a selection of ex-sample gowns ready to take home the same day from £300!
Communion & Flowergirl Dresses
A extremely cute selection of dresses for your little ones! Flowergirl dresses can be ordered in a rainbow of colours & Holy Communion dresses can be customised. Prices from £175.
Prom & Special Occasion Gowns
A huge array of colourful Prom Dresses & Special Occasion Wear is on offer. We Keep all of our dresses under £300, as we know its not just the dress that makes the perfect prom night.
